MORGANTOWN AREA PARTNERSHIP HONORS GRANVILLE DEVELOPERS

Did you know that Granville has a main street? Nikki and Michael Mills want to make sure that everyone is aware of this, which is why, in 2020, they purchased 10 warehouses to create New South Square. That square now includes New South Media’s headquarters, The Silo in the Square, This and That Bakery and The F.A.R.M. It is also why they are receiving the Milan Puskar Entrepreneur of the Year award at this year’s Morgantown Area Partnership’s Annual Dinner. “To be given this award, named for such an icon who not only built an incredible company, but also contributed in a plethora of ways to building this community through his generosity, is an amazing h o n o r, ” Nikki Mills told The Dominion Post. “Michael and I are both entrepreneurs, and to be selected as the first husband and wife team to receive the Milan Puskar Entrepreneur of the Year award for not just our work in our individual businesses, but also our work together in Granville, means so much to u s. ” Michael went on to add, “When most people think of Granville, they think of the University Town Centre. But Granville is so much more. With all the development happening at West Ridge and Mylan Park, we felt that it was a good location. We hope we can spark further investment into this community.” Nikki’s company, New South Media, includes publications like “WV Living,” “Morgantown,” “Wo n d e r f u l West Virginia,” and “WV We d d i n g s ” magazines, which highlight stories from across the state. M i ch a e l ’s company, Mills Group, is an architectural firm that provides architecture and planning but also works in historic preservation across West Virginia. The Mills Group has worked locally with Clear Mountain Bank, Glenmark Holdings, Enrout and the City of Morgantown, to name a few. Their work in Granville highlights their love for the c o m m u n i t y. Their most recent endeavor, The F.A.R.M — which stands for Food, Art, Recreation and Market — is a restaurant and a retail shop that sells everything from grab-n-go foods, gifts and clothing to local food products, books and antiques. “We hope that we can serve as an example that ordinary people can help positively shape the trajectory of a town , ” Nikki said. The Morgantown Area Partnership’s Annual Dinner is from 5-8:30 p.m. today at the Morgantown Event Center.
