West Virginia Fishing Tournaments
Dates and locations of major organized fishing tournaments on West Virginia lakes and rivers can be found at: https://wvdnr.gov/fishing/fishing-tournament-dates/.
These large tournaments require a permit from the WVDNR and the results must be reported to the DNR. The permit system prevents having more than one tournament on the same body of water on the same day. There are also smaller club tournaments held throughout the state that do not require a permit.
