Thanks again to everyone who contributed their thoughts and ideas on how to improve the Riverfront. We had a great meeting this morning, and I’m excited about our progress.
I’ve attached the letter I sent to the City Manager this afternoon to formally convey our vision, goals, and initial recommendations. I’ve asked for her feedback by July 13, 2020.
Below are the next steps of our plan to keep things moving forward:
1) After we receive feedback from the City Manager, update recommendations and action items and present Riverfront Improvement Plan to City Council and/or appropriate Boards/Commissions to take action.
2) Present Plan to MAP/Chamber and work with local media to share progress with the goal of informing the public and engaging with business owners to better understand their needs.
3) Engage community groups to help with public art, trail-related projects, and additional “fun” items.
I really appreciate your time and your engagement, and I’m looking forward to seeing some more positive change on the Riverfront.
